I’m a huge Specials fan have been since my youth. Never was a full on Ska boy but other than the Clash or the Bad Brains the Specials were my favorite punk leaning group ever. I never stopped listening to them even when I went full scale hiphop they were always on my personal playlist. Seeing them for the first time since I was 14 a few blocks from where I saw them as a kid at summer stage when it was on pier 54 I gotta say they blew my socks off.
The amazing thing was there were OG’s like myself but also a ton of kids age 14-20 running around skanking who knew all the words. Made me happy and made me think the kids still love great unique music in this day and age of Lady Gaga.
I think these dudes have another record in them. Wouldn’t that be great to see? Maybe they can rope in Elvis Costello to produce it like he did the first 2 records!

when they were in dublin there were 400 OGs pogoing at the front , super energy but i swear someone was gonna catch a heart attack !
they do have another album in them but cant do it without jerry dammers
