I was at this tensions ran high that evening culminating down the road in a heap of bullshit and negativity. It all started here and ended up with the greatest rapper of all time dead…..
Was twittering about BIG last night and I realized he was the Jimi Hendrix of rap meaning he shined so bright and so brief and has never been surpassed as a MC in my eyes and ears. He also had a zillion terrible imitators much like Hendrix. He was the water mark for rapping and with a few exceptions like Hov, Emenim and a few others rapping’s been struggling and emulating but not creating and progressing.
Anyways go listen to the first record cause it’s still pretty flawless all these years later.
