ERIC HAZE : NEW ABSTRACTS AND ICONS
Eric Haze is simply one of my closest friends we have a lot of history from meeting me when I was a crazed skateboarding graf writing punk rocker to us fully emerging our selves in the culture of HipHop which was emerging as we became young men. You could say in a sense we came of age together in a sense something I always cherish. I have been watching him create this body of work over the last year or so and have been a cheer leader of sorts encouraging him and helping show some of this work to a few mutual and influential friends. I was impressed,psyched and happy for him and the body of work he created. This was a culmination of a long journey that started in LA before Eric moved back home and all that he has out in motion since his return to NYC. I feel honored to be his friend and confidant, just wish I copped better pics but I got there late and it was mad crowded which in terms of the event was a good thing! Congrats to Eric and Sky for putting this together it’s really a tremendous show of beautiful and compelling work. Go check it out at 812 Broadway and now enough of me time for some art!
The show was great! Haze being the big bro to so many of us who came from the graf scene a lot of heavy hitters showed up. In a effort not to get anyone in trouble I am ommiting names on some of these the vandal squad is still out there looking for cats ya know?
