MONTAUK SOJOURN
So much crazy stuff going on the past few, losing Shawn Mortenson,Dash Snow, Andy Kessler, AM and Roc Raida in a row has been a really heavy moment in time for me and my friends. I was at the beach when I found out about Raida’s passing and frankly it blew me away. In a effort to cleanse my energy’s I went out to Montuak this past weekend with Harry Jumonji and Steve Olson, it was important to make the trip and get a deeper sense of closure. Jumonji’s staying clean has never been more important to me than it is right now with Kessy passing so surfing ( which I stink at!) skating a little and paddling out and just saying a prayer for my friends soul helped me feel better than I had about things that I had been feeling still all in all a surreal moment for me,my friends and the members of our community. Here’s some pics of our sojourn out to Montauk. It was a great experience for all of us!
All I can say is embrace the light the darkness will pass my friends.
This is Chuck between Jumonji and Olson. We stayed at his house. I met Chuck at Kesslers funeral and he invited us out to make peace of sorts with our friends spirit in a sense. Thank you Chuck due to you and your lovely families courtesy we all feel a lot lighter after coming out. Your most excellent my friend.

This is Lilly Chucks wife,Reno’s mom and a super nice woman. She met my father in Chiapas over 10 years ago and told me all about it. My father told me he fully remembered her and really dug her when they met back then. Small world and it never seems to end ya know?

we also hit the local skatepark…It was Andy’s dream to rebuild the park……The pool was gnarly I passed and stayed to the banks and stuff….OG Olson killing it like always…style for miles
It seemed fitting to end the post with Jumonji killing a layback….For those that don’t believe peep the video I am posting later today….Jumonji is still on his shit clean and sober and skating like a champ again. Another gift from Kessler to us all.
Thanks to Lilly,Chuck and baby Reno for having us and feeding us all weekend we appreciate more than you know! I think we got a little closer to getting some closure once again thanks!
