One of my favorite artist’s Dennis Mcnett, Harry Jumonji and the one and only Benny Gold in the house…..Benny just walked in the restaurant while we were eating on the random…Another reason why NYC is so killer….You bump in to everybody all the time and that rocks! Note the AK board Harry is holding for our brother Kessler!

DJ Frankie Ingelesse a true NYC original….I’m going to do a whole post on Frankie one day…He invented Rare Groove/break djaying in America basically. Soul Kitchen was the first funk friendly party in America in the late 80’s. Frankie has a lot of funk in him we use to go digging a bunch back in the days. When he got bored with break beats and all he invented Beaver the first 80’s party in the whole country it ran for 10 years and was so much fun! Frankie is one of a kind, a nice dude and a great DJ. Him DJ Jules and Stretch Armstrong were the guys back in the days and to this day still my favorite 3 DJays to hear play. Much respect Frankie!

All in all a great little week in NYC. Fashion week can be annoying but this year it wasn’t so bad for once, not so many turdballs running around the streets feeling self important maybe it’s the economy or maybe people are actually remembering being subtle is a wonderful thing who knows? I know that I went to a Soul Kitchen reunion,got some great new art,took in a few runway shows and didn’t have a hangover all week long so for me that’s a great week!

There was a Soul Kitchen reunion?? Holy sh-t!!! That’s epic, major news. How come more people didn’t mention/talk about it?? Damn, wish I’d been around for that.
