COMIC COM PART 1
In my travels the past week I made my way to Comic Com the epic Comic Book convention in San Diego. Comic Com is the ultimate nerd fest and being a down low nerd I met up with my traveling buddy Selim aka Goofy Boy. We met in Costa Mesa and had lunch with my OG friend Aly Osha Moore then went and got are inner geek on…..Here’s some pics from the freak fest called Comic Com
Aly Osha Moore my friend for over 20 years….Cat’s been responsible for so many things in the culture we live in from starting Phat Farm and Shut Skates, to Alpha Numeric and Fiber Op’s to just being a cool muthertrucker….Aly was one of the first people along with me to be into hardcore punkrock and hip hop,grafitti and skating all at the same time in the 80’s……Dude is original which is way more than I can say for most people….proud to be friends with the dude still all these years!
Selim at Comic Com was like watching a little kid loose his chicken it was funny just seeing him bug out…Here he is with the robot from Futurama…..The robot tried to sell us a bag of cheeba right after I took the pic no lie…. Maybe it was the fact we stunk like a Christmas tree that inspired his salesmanship who knows?
We saw this dude…It made me ponder a few things real quick……Did he know Captain America was a honky? Did Captain America get a remix and I didn’t hear about it? I thought his side kick The Falcon was a brother not The Captain I was confused so I had Goofy Boy pose the question to him so he asked my mello ” What’s up with the Captain America outfit wasn’t he a cracker?” No lie dude told us he was Captain Africa…..I started rolling dude was too funny….Told us he was from Chicago and was getting his weirdo on at Comic Com….I’m down with Captain Africa I think he could whip Captain America’s ass given a fair shot ya know? Real talk I would smoke one with Captain Africa that Captain America chump would probably arrest me for that ish….Viva Captain Africa!

These dudes got lost on the way to the renaissance fair I think….Holy bugouts…I think one of them was playing the lute or some shit…..Holy Bilbo Baggins

My favorite dudes at Comic Com are the ones who don’t go all out they’re half scared but still wanna kind of dress up…They’re scared to make the full on nerd step but still wanna be down…..Like this dude I don’t know but I just wouldn’t feel right leaving him alone with my kids if I had em…..
Apperently this guy will also work for 7 bucks a hour if it means getting to dress up like a geek….
This wierdo was just so psyched I took his picture I had to post it……I asked him if his outfit helped him get laid …he laughed… and told me the kit and some roofies worked like a charm……Goon city!

I’m telling you if you take your kids especially your sons they’re gonna end up growing up and wearing shirts like this…Holy 40 year old virgin….Didn’t Steve Carol live in Diego in the flick…..Life imitate art much?

House of Pains background dancers were at the show…
These dudes had the worst fake british accents I ever heard….they were full on bro/surfer/Diego goons. When I told them I really liked the Spider Man outfits they looked at me with total contempt and told me “Were like pirtates dude”…..I was like really oh snap really? I don’t think they liked me so much…Check pirate on the left…I’m thinking full on butt pirate by the look on his grill piece

These 2 were cute to me…They were psyched when I asked to take they’re picture…This is what I mean by part time geeks…They wanna go all out but there too normal to go craze….They had that PMA so I took they’re picture!
Hi I’m a creepy turdball whats your name? This dude looks like he yells at little kids who come in to his comic book shop in San Pedro or some shit….Mama’s don’t let your little nerds to grow up to be big nerds like this….. Another one I wouldn’t trust with my kids…..Nice flower collar lamerod!
Ravings making a come back at Comic Com…Thank god I saved my platform Chuck Taylor’s….can’t wait to rock those again with my plushie suit..Fun times..
This as pretty cool I think….More Comic Com to come later today or early tmrw but for now I gotta boogie!
Comic Com what a trip I love getting in touch with my inner nerd and it feels good to be in a room with a couple of thousand other geeks once or twice a year ya know? Part 2 coming in the next few hours or days depending on how much down time I get…
