STREETS OF NEW YORK 11
Ran the streets of the city the last few saw some cool music, ran into friends and had a few hangovers…..Good energy in the streets these days but enough of me the streets are telling the story:
The Streets for reals:
Did a bunch of walking around it was CMJ week and all so I ended up cruising around the city a bunch bumped into these geniuses Aron Bondaroff and Ryan Hickey:
They were shooting the shit with an ooooold friend of mine I hadn’t seen for several years: Ari Macropolis and Ivan Perez ( Who I see all the time!) in front of good ol Supreme ( where else right?)
SpankRock/PaseRock and there crew did a little CMJ jump-off with my 10Deep crew…Shit was craze!
Pretty fun night….Like always art played a part in my week……Duece7 in bk the kids been getting busy!
Saw this in BK as well: Robots Will Kill. These kids are sick remember I told you that.
Child hood friend made good Liev Scrieber: I grew up playing basketball with my man. His nick name was Huggy as a kid and he never passed the ball ever. Guy was a good athlete back then and he’s a great dude and an amazing actor. He’s been an actor since he was a kid and I never doubted for a second that he would make it he’s been focused on his goal since JHS…You would never believe how gully he was as a kid!
Saw this sign it made me chuckle…………….
Stumbled upon this Nick Walker piece….Kinda cool kinda way Banksy though………………….
Bumped into Ricky twin and Million Dollar Mano… Mano’s a sick DJ and producer plus one part of Hollywood Holt and MIA’s DJ at times…..Ricky and his bro D are the coolest youngsters on the scene these days…Outside Santo’s playhouse
Hung with these dudes at a Dallas Austin Experence show at Santo’s…..Arab Parrot and Josh the Fish from 10Deep…..The show was kind of weird but……
At least he brought out my man Big Gip for a song:

Can’t say it was amazing wish I coulda……This though is amazing yeah I’m late on this I only saw it in person last week……..BK Dumbo to be exact…..Kaves and Revs that’s serious….note the sick sculpture that’s on the top of the piece….This piece is beyond sick to me…Good stuff fellas!

I walked through Tompkins park last weekend and saw this group of freaks performing…..Music sucked but his rhetoric was pretty funny!

I thought this was pretty classic shit right here!

As was this……..Mighty Mos Def on the streets LES streets that is

Pretty hectic week saw a few bands, went to a bunch of parties and worked my ass off…..Spotted this cat walking the streets late one night recently…Halloween came early this year I guess

I saw this on the streets of the Lower east I was digging this….Keith Harring would have tripped on where the culture has gone…He was so ahead of the curve it wasn’t funny….Wish I knew who did this?
Bumped into Tony Screw and the downbeat sound system chilling with my Deadly Dragon peoples at EVR doing a Alton Ellis tribute….Had to pay respects…I love Deadly Dragon! Rest in Power Alton Ellis!

Peep this ride…I saw it in midtown by my office….I think I’ll cop me one when it comes out in 2020!

I know a lot of people who remind me of this joint below…… Seen in BK willyburger recently
Heres a few Doze sketches I forgot to post in my epic Doze piece:
One more
Went to Bob Gruen’s Birthday party the other day as well….. Bob Gruen took the iconic John Lennon NYC pic and many famous punk rock flicks…..He was the first photographer to fully embrace the punk movement. His commentary in the book “Please Kill Me” is classic material…….Bob turned 63 he’s a NYC institution and a super nice dude been picking up gems from Bob for years now…..OG respect happy birthday Bob!

Famed photographer and childhood hangout partner Josh Chuese was DJaying at Bob’sshindig

Judith Supine keeps the streets lively: Peep him batteling these frogs in Bushwick BK

Saw Mano’s group He Said She Said…. This should start a bidding war…..They were great despite the wak sound and dam shes pretty!

One more shot……They’re gonna be big mark my words!

Here’s a video of them killing it:
Love them…. I also went to see the 2 Live Crew….Them dudes need Luke back nuff said: They were down to one big booty freak on stage….A bunch of suspect broads I know from Max Fish jumped on stage and shook what there Mama didn’t give em….Weak sauce….Go find Uncle Luke and get your swagger back guys please!

Fresh Kid Ice still has that dam cast on what the F? looks like his arm might be related to DJ Paul from Triple 6…..Might be the new hiphop fashion statement….. Peep the Video: She So Horny:
Here’s a few art shots seen on the streets before I depart: Revs and Espo BK

Anna Peru or Peru Anna one of the two…..Pretty cool stuff

Elbo Toe:

Unknown Psychedelic piece in BK as well:

And this maniac is still at it:

And with that I give you the Streets of New York: Thanks G Rap and Marley!
And with that I’m out:

Streets of New York……Shits always lively in the rotten apple and CMJ week was an exceptional week this year saw lot’s of good music and ran into a gang of bug-outs,saw some great art on the streets and remembered once again why NYC is the worlds best city…….
