Steve Rodriguez the owner of 5 boro and a all around nice dude put together with his wife Hiroko a great show with Dennis Mcnett. Dennis did the Anti Hero logo and a ton of artwork for those cats over the years as well as stuff for Vans and a bunch of other people.
Dennis is a serious artist one who deserves more shine I believe. I check out a lot of art and I firmly believe in Dennis Mcnett’s talent. He simply is tremendous I copped a print looking for an original right about now. Enough of me check out the work!
How sick is this piece? I bought a print I want the original…His style is amazing, his use of wood cut blocks to create prints is unreal….It reminds me of indigenous art but in a whole new context. This guy is amazing

Jumonji came home from a spell in the clink and joined me at the show….He saw a lot of old friends including Steve Rodriuez, Steve’s wife Hiroko and Dennis McNett. Harry turned me on to Dennis’ work a few years ago. Jumonji and me have history and we all have our fingers crossed for our brother. We’ve been down the road with him countless times. Like my dad said some people are worth fighting for and believing in no matter the outcome. My dad’s right and Harry’s one of these people.

All in all a great show put together with love by good people. Having Jumonji in tow made it even better! Go see the show my pics can’t do Dennis McNett’s work justice but your eyeballs can,it’s up for another few weeks so there’s no excuse. This is another reason why NYC is so great, here’s a amazing un hearelded artist creating great work because he has to……Congrats to Dennis, Steve His wife the show was better than a lot of work I see in so called serious galleries in Chelsea and else where…..Real art by real people deserves real support from the community…Nuff said I sound like a hype man something I ain’t.

McNett is beyond words. The detail and mix of psych / tribal technique is straight invigorating. Big shout to Jumonji, kind of street hero from my youth
