Uncategorized June 29th, 2008

Os Gemeos show Too Far Too Close at Deitch projects was an amazing example of creating a truly inspired all encompassing visual environment. The magnitude of this show was awe inspiring. This show is a must see for all fans of Os Gemeos and art in general. Here’s a few pics from this tremendous example of creativity

Here’s a few images to hold you over to you see the show itself live in person!

On the Sculpture tip:

This one needs some explaining. These speakers play different loops that are assigned to different keys on the keyboard below this image…..This piece had people tripping all night long. I love the fact that musical instruments and interactive installations which contain musical elements are being created by people like Os Gemos and David Ellis. This type of multi media art is really inspiring to me.

The magnitude of this show needs to be seen in person to truly understand. I love the esthetic that is Os Gemeos. There work is unique, playful and engaging. The after party/dinner was a really nice way to end the evening, eating with old friends, enjoying cultural exchanges with some great minds and was just a great NYC evening and event. Thanks to:

Deitch Projects, Eric Haze for bringing me with him and Teddy L from WHYQ for taking me to the dinner as his guest. This show is a must see so run to Deitch projects now!

Enjoy
