BEASTIE BOYS ROCK NYC
Went to check out the Beasties last night at Mccareen pool in Brooklyn and guess what it was the first time the Beasties had ever played in Brooklyn ever which never occurred to me whatsoever. Regardless the Beasties rocked the house like always, I had a blast and got to see a lot of old heads in the spot here’s some pic’s!

The show was dope like all Beastie shows them kids don’t play……It’s nice to know I’m not the only active youthful OG amongst my peers! Wet backstage after the gig and said whats up to the fellas…Saw a few friends as well shit was like a mini high school reunion!

Me and the King Adroc….Cats one of the coolest dudes ever and my favorite Beastie on stage always….Kid can really play some guitar as well! In high school his house was the hangout house casue his mom’s was the coolest ever!
My brother Kaves Lords of Brooklyn was in the spot….Love this guy!
And last but not least MCA aka Adam Yauch AKA one of the coolest cats ever! Once a few years ago I saw Adam and his wife to be walking down by Battery Park city. They had just had there daughter at the time and were walking around with her in a papoose of sorts. Me and my girlfriend at the time walked around with them for a while taking in the day. When we parted ways my girlfriend turned to me and said “Your friend Adam and his wife are really nice. He looks really familiar what does he do?” I started to chuckle and told her ” He’s one of the Beastie Boys” and I swear she didn’t believe me for about 15 minutes till we got home and I showed her a Beastie Boy record. She started crackin up. Point being MCA is so cool if you didn’t know he was a Beastie you wouldn’t know he’s a Beastie guy has no ego or pretense about who he is and what he does he just enjoys life! This Beastie’s are the definition of down to earth.

Beastie Boys are one of my favorite groups ever. yeah I’m biased but honestly when you think of great NYC bands there right there with the Ramones, the Bad Brains, Run-DMC and a few others. TV on the Radio might get there one day (There dope as hell!). Something about NYC bands and what they represent to us you have to be from New York to fully get it I believe. LA can have the Chili Peppers or No Doubt me I’ll ride with the Beasties all life long! Thanks guys always love seeing u dudes rock!
